A copy of the Village of Hamburg Police Department Deposition of Fact, signed and affirmed by Doctor Jetter on Monday July 21, 2014 was obtained by from the Buffalo News web page. ( Image temporarily unavailable)
According to the plethora of news reports, talk radio programs, water cooler chatter and coffee klatching, Doctor Jetter misrepresented the events of Cinco de Mayo, 2014. WKBW interviewed an eyewitness who claims the inebriated (see deposition of fact) Doctor Jetter got into his car just after 6 p.m.. to transfer it to the alternate side of the street. It was then, just after 6 p.m. that Jetter hit his car and a Hamburg School employee witnessed the damage at that time. Then, it was reported that Doctor Jetter entered the employee's home, and it seems he did not leave until 12:30 a.m..
Channel 4 reports that a petition will be made to the New York State Education Commissioner to revoke Doctor Jetter's license for immoral conduct and lack of fitness to teach and govern in NYS school districts. How sad it is that a man, who was never equipped to be a school superintendent, put himself in such a bad position. The Hamburg School Board, or those who voted to approve Doctor Jetter for Superintendent, need to reflect on their inability to recognize quality leadership. Hamburg is a district that should command the best of the best; those with experience and integrity. Instead, four members of the Hamburg School Board: Thomas Flynn, Laura Heeter, Patricia Brunner Collins and David Yoviene, hired Richard Jetter and each of those individuals judgement should be called into question.
On March 11, 2014, according the the Hamburg School Board minutes ( March 11, 2014- BOE MINUTES TO APPOINT JETTER pages 48,49,50) Jetter was appointed superintendent. Two members of the board: Sally Stephenson and Catherine Forcucci both raised significant objections. The board was given only 2 hours to review Doctor Jetter's contract. Doctor Jetter's contract can be found here : Jetters Contract. As one reflects on this, it seems that the four members who voted in the affirmative threw caution to the wind, and had no concern for what was in the best interest of the Hamburg School District.
Flynn, Yoviene, Heeter and Collin's imprudent decision will cost the Hamburg taxpayers dearly, and they are partially responsible for setting up Doctor Jetter for failure. Clearly, Jetter is immature, irresponsible, reckless and troubled. In less than two months after his appointment, he was out day drinking with a school district administrator. He threw away his career, and exhibited little regard for his 3 children, wife and the kids and staff of Hamburg.
